Business Development Executive

This role is responsible for fielding and engaging new business opportunities and coordinating the proposal development process up to closing and team briefing. You will be collaborating with the leadership team to develop new business strategies as well as independently manage an effective response to all inquiries. This includes everything from assessing the ‘fit’ of the prospect to developing a detailed approach and response to all proposals. A successful candidate will bring strong written and verbal communication skills, proactiveness, critical thinking, collaborative approach, empathy toward both client and agency challenges and business needs, and experience within the creative industry.

The Executive will have clear and concrete targets and shall implement CRM tools for proper funneling of opportunities up to conversion, as well as measurement of performance.

About The Role

  • In collaboration with our Leadership team, develop and implement effective new business strategies and processes.

  • Develop a comprehensive and time-sensitive business development and growth plan with strategies for growth performance. Utilize existing relationships, meet sales targets resulting in client satisfaction and profitable engagements.

  • Originate, qualify, cultivate and close new opportunities with clients.

  • Research, discover, and source leads, actively seeking and pursue opportunities and relationships that leverage our strengths and problem-solving capabilities. Call on senior-level executives and forge new client relationships, and engage prospects to determine viability/fit by establishing rapport and gaining insight into needs and other factors to inform the company's engagement.

  • Close new business deals with an understanding of client’s needs and requirements; develop and negotiate project contracts, and review client/contract specifications with project teams authoring well-written proposals, and build SOWs with grammatically-sound narratives that satisfy client objectives and address project and business objectives.

  • Critical driver and participant on New Business pitches representing the face of the company alongside the leadership team.

  • Bring passion, inspiration and insight of the industry on a daily basis. Share trends, industry insights that contribute to the company's culture and future success.

  • Inform and provide point of views to Leadership on opportunity and manage the company's proposal completion from start to finish with efficiency, accuracy, and insight.

  • Demonstrate reliable workload management to support multiple projects, following details and appropriate prioritization to meet deadlines

  • Manage and improve the company's new business tools (New Business Tracking and Revenue Reports)

  • Participate in the development of case study content for capabilities presentation for new business outreach.

  • Build and maintain a sustainable sales backlog and aid development of annual sales plans for the company. Report on business development and growth activities weekly.

  • Delight the client. Provide positive client relations, working with them as partners to develop long-term and meaningful relationships for mutual benefit

  • Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to align business needs with solutions.

  • Collaborate with our marketing team to identify new opportunities, interpret trends and promote efforts to meet current trends. Ensure efficient and effective marketing, advertising, and promotional planning.

Position Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish,  with an expert eye for tracking details.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

  • 2+ years of experience working in Business Development, Account Management or client-facing position  in a creative or advertising agency setting

  • Able to proactively identify and develop new business opportunities, from initial intake through final contract negotiations

  • Be aware and current with leading edge industry innovation, identifying practices in marketing and agency business development, sharing them with the Leadership Team and pursuing implementation of new tactics to improve new business systems

  • Good understanding of Branding, Creative and Design processes

  • Demonstrate excellent project management skills, being comfortable working on multiple deals at the same time with multiple clients per week.

  • Bring empathy, curiosity, and passion for building relationships to all interactions with clients and internal teams, cultivating trust and partnership

  • Demonstrate comfort, confidence and ease presenting in high-level executive setting.

  • Self-driven outreach activity and rigor in following a sales process and metrics by leveraging sales tools.

  • Ability to work independently or with a team

  • Excellent eye for aesthetic design and customer appeal

  • Strong knowledge of the industry and market trends

Compensation and Benefits

  • Flexible remote-work schedule (from any country in Latin America) 

  • Basic salary of U$500/month

  • Generous commission based on monthly revenues generated  (Can earn up to $4250 per month)

  • Paid Time off
